Description: erect, deciduous shrub (to 12 ft.). The mahogany-colored bark is thin & shreddy, hence the name ninebark referring to the many layers of bark. Rounded clusters of small white flowers appear in spring or early summer. Sun/part sun, regular water best, well-drained soil.
